DEARBORN,Mich. – Dearborn Public Library and DFCU Financial, Michigan’s largest credit union headquartered in Dearborn, are partnering to offer a series of financial education seminars that are free and open to the public.
The seminars will be presented by Charles Hoff, a financial counselor accredited by the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education, who has been with DFCU Financial for more than 16 years.
The schedule of seminars is as follows:
- Healthy Credit, 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, will discuss solutions for repairing bad credit.
- Debt Free Living, 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, September 6, will discuss how to develop and use a budget to get out of debt and save for the future.
- Pre-Retirement Wealth Builder, 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, September 20, will provide strategies for money management to create a nest egg for the future.
- Post-Retirement Wealth Retention, 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, October 4, will offer guidance on how to preserve accumulated savings and live comfortably on less income during retirement.
All seminars will be held at Henry Ford Centennial Library, 16301 Michigan Avenue, Dearborn. There is no charge, but registration is required. Participants may register for any or all seminars by calling the library at 313-943-2330 or by visiting the library’s homepage at www.dearbornlibrary.org.
