Volunteering

Would you like to make a difference in your community this summer? Then apply to be a Summer Reading Teen Volunteer! You’ll help the librarians with programs, prep crafts materials, sort books, and other tasks. It’s a great way to earn volunteer hours, gain work experience, and have fun!

Space is limited, so the Library will only accept Volunteer applications for the Summer Reading Program through March 24, 2017.

Teen Advisory Group (TAG)

The Teen Advisory Group (TAG) was founded in January 2013.  The group meets once a month to discuss a variety of library-related topics that range from books to pop culture.  Together, teens work on a variety of volunteer projects that help the library and the community.

  • Teens who attend have the opportunity to earn one volunteer hour per meeting.  For more information, contact lgeiken@ci.dearborn.mi.us.
  • For additional volunteer opportunities fill out a volunteer application and return it to the library.
