MeLCat

MeLCat is Back!

MeLCat, the statewide catalog, and resource sharing service will be up-and-running beginning Tuesday, September 8, 2020. COVID-19 put a stop to MeLCat transactions for many months, but as libraries across the state are beginning phased reopening, MeLCat service has resumed. Available material may be limited, as not all Michigan libraries are participating at this time.

All MeLCat requested material will be available for pick-up during regular curbside pick-up hours at Henry Ford Centennial Library. Please return all MeLCat material in the drop box at Henry Ford Centennial Library. Please note, all returned MeLCat material will be quarantined for at least 5 days. Your MeLCat account may not be updated until the material is processed after quarantine.

For additional information, go to MeL.org or contact MeLCat Services at iloan@ci.dearborn.mi.us.

Dearborn Public Library users have access to MeLCat, a state-wide resource sharing system comprised of many Michigan public and academic libraries. Participating libraries of the Michigan eLibrary system have agreed to share their materials with other libraries at no cost to the library user.

  • Books and media items will be delivered to the Henry Ford Centennial Library for pickup.
  • MeLCat materials are to be returned to HFCL.
  • For more information about MeLCat please see our How Do I…? section.
