Temporary Library Card

What is a temporary card?

A temporary library card lets Dearborn or Dearborn Heights residents sign up to use a wide variety of digital resources.  A temporary card will not allow checkouts or holds to be placed on physical materials at any Dearborn Library location.  

  • Start by clicking on My Account from the library homepage.  On the bottom of the login page, you will click on a link called “Register”

  • Fill out the form presented on the following page.  The PIN number submitted will be required to access any digital material, so please retain this for your records. 

  • When presented with your temporary card number after submitting, please make sure to keep it for your records, it will be required to access any digital material.  

What can I do?
