LendingLab Donations

LendingLab Donation Policy

The LendingLab at the Dearborn Public Library does accept donations.

All items must be in good shape, and free from damage, excessive wear, excessive dirt or other residue.

Because storage is limited, contacting Assistant Director of Programs & Services is required. Call Library Administration at 313-943-2330 and choose Administration, or use the Contact Us form on the Library’s website: dearbornlibrary.org. Please wait for arrangements to be made for drop-off of donations. If prior arrangements have not been made, the desk staff will refuse to accept the items.

New in box/new, unused is always the best, but we will accept gently used items with all needed pieces and original documentation.

From time to time, the LendingLab at the Dearborn Public Library may put out calls for donations of specific items. Please follow the social media accounts of the Dearborn Public Library.

All items donated belong to the Dearborn Public Library and cannot be returned to the donor. The Dearborn Public Library does not guarantee to keep donated equipment in perpetuity. Donated consumables/supplies will be used as the Dearborn Public Library sees fit. The Dearborn Public Library reserves the right to give donated items to the Friends of the Library – Dearborn for resale or for the Dearborn Public Library to dispose of safely.
