Assistant Director of Technical Services

Mark Hancock

Email: Contact Form | Phone: 313-943-2821

Mark has been with the Dearborn Public Library since 1995. He started as an Assistant Librarian at Snow Branch library, before moving to HFCL Adult Services, and then to the Automation division where he served as a Systems Specialist and then as Systems Manager. Mark has been involved with managing and supporting library technical systems since before most people knew what the Internet was.

An avid reader himself, Mark would like to set the record straight about working for the library. Sadly, and contrary to popular belief, library employees do not get to sit around reading books all day!
