SparkLab Donations

The SparkLab at the Dearborn Public Library does accept donations of craft and fabrication materials and tools.

All items must be in good shape, and free from mold, mildew, excessive dirt or other residue, and excessive smoke or other odors.

Because storage is limited, contacting the Assistant Director of Programs and Services by either emailing at dearbornsparklab@gmail.com or by calling 313-943-2330 and choosing Administration is required. Please wait for arrangements to be made for drop-off of donations.  If prior arrangements are not made, the desk staff will refuse to accept the items.

New in box/new, unused is always the best, but we will accept the following gently, used items:

  • Beads
  • Bead looms
  • Buttons
  • Corks
  • Crochet hooks
  • Embroidery thread, hoops and needles
  • Fabric (pieces must be larger than 3x3”)
  • Felt (pieces must be larger than 3x3”)
