Tools, equipment, and areas of the SparkLab marked with a red sign or tape are not permitted for direct usage by patrons. All operation of these tools and equipment is restricted to Library Staff and trained volunteers. All equipment and supply availability is subject to change.
3D Printers
At the SparkLab, there are different 3D printers available for patrons to submit prints requests from. To request a print, please view the 3D Printing Submission Form and review the 3D Print Policy. Charges for materials used in the print are listed in the Fees and Charges document in the FAQ.
Anycubic Photon M3 Resin Printer
This 3D printer uses UV resin to create intricately detailed objects. It can print up objects up to 6.4 x 4 x 7 in.
Flashforge Creator Pro
This dual extruder filament printer can print objects in two different filament colors up to 225 x 145 x 150 mm (8.8 x 5.7 x 5.9 in). The dual extruders allow for simultaneous printing with two filament colors.
Prusa CORE One
This 3D printer has a printable area of up to 250x220x270mm.
Scultpo2 Pro
This is our smallest filament 3D printer. It can print objects up to 7.8 x 7.8 x 7.8 in.
Laser Cutters & Engravers
For 2D projects, try out the Sparklab’s Glowforge to engrave designs. The Glowforge has an operating cost of $6 and has a variety of premade designs on the Glowfroge catalog. Full access to the Premium Service feature is available only in the Sparklab. For more information, please read the Glowforge Policies and Procedures document.
Glowforge Pro
This machine uses a laser to cut and or engrave a number of different materials from wood to acrylic to metal. Patrons must provide their own materials and those materials must be approved by SparkLab Staff. Please see the Approved Materials list.
Specialty Printers
Canon Image Prograf TA-20
This printer can print items up to 24” wide and as long as desired.
Epson Photo Inkjet
This machine has a flatbed scanner that can scan items up 13” x 19”. It can print on regular paper, photo paper, sticker paper and shrink plastic. The largest photo size available is 13 x 19”. Other materials may be smaller.
Sawgrass Virtuoso
This printer uses special paper and inks to print full color images that can be permanently transferred to such items as t-shirts, mugs, mouse pads, etc. using heat. Designs can be created in the MySawgrass web app. Free accounts can be made on the Sawgrass website. Premium access is available in the SparkLab.
